Typically, everyone associates Rooftop bars with the summer. There is an immediate visual that accompanies an NYC rooftop, including poolside lounging, panoramic views and boozy cocktails. Living in a place that experiences cold weather 6 months out of the year, its unfortunate that many rooftops aren’t able to keep their doors open past the early fall.
But, in the city that never sleeps, more and more establishments are accommodating guests year round. Thankfully, with new solutions to combat the winter, rooftop festivities are no longer limited to just the summertime months.
Below are a list of New York City rooftop bars that are open to the public year round.
Location: 215 Chrystie St, New York, NY 10002
With 360 degree views of the city, and floor to ceiling windows, The Roof at public, boats one of the best views the city has to offer. There is also an outdoor terrace, that is another optional area to lounge and grab a drink.
With music playing all night, featuring both local and international DJS from all over the world, you definitely want to spend your next girls night here!

It has two outdoor areas; the one on the East Side overlooks the iconic Empire State Building, while the West Side facing terrace has rotating carousel seating, giving it an amusement park feel.
There is even a putt-putt course that features animal statues in flirty positions. Due to covid, it is currently out of use, but is no doubt one of the hotel’s most instagram worthy aspects of the hotel.

This rooftop bar is located in the Meatpacking District, at The Standard Hotel (High Line). You can get a drink from their extensive menu, order a quick bite, or just take in the gorgeous sunset.

You can even find an indoor Jacuzzi, and yes, people swim in there! If you just spent the last hour doing your make-up, you might only want to sit poolside. Ask an employee if you can purchase a towel and enjoy from a safe distance.

Their menu encompasses food that has been locally sourced, specially crafted cocktails, and even has fresh-juices and coffee options.

Located in the Lower East Side, The Delancey opened in 2004, and has 3 levels, depending on your vibe and mood for the night.
